You have chosen "Buy a new sponge filter"

This answer is incorrect. The filter currently being used is undersized for the pond. The proof of this is in how often the filter must be cleaned to keep the pump operating effectively. Typically if a pond is "dirty" like the young mans is the filter may plug up in a day or two requiring cleaning. Eventually it should get the worst of the sediment out of the water and require much, much less cleaning.
