QUESTION:
We put in our first pond this spring. Today as I was putting the first fish in the water, I saw literally hundreds of teeny weeny tadpoles swimming or on every rock. I don't know if they are the result of neighborhood toads or if they were brought on the plants I installed a couple of weeks ago. How do I tell if they are frogs or toads and should I try to remove some of them from the pond? Thank you very much.

ANSWER:
BERKS,
I would not remove the free gift supplied by mother nature, they will eat algae. Eventually they will grow up and eat lots of bugs.

Thanks and I hope that this was helpful.
