6/25/99 QUESTION: I've just put my pond in this summer and want to do everything to ensure good fish and plant life. My pond was moved from another location to my house and due to space, was made a bit smaller. I have a couple of very large Koi and want them to remain happy and healthy in their new but smaller home. I saw something under your "fish heath" section called, Jungle Pond Parasite Guard. Is this something that you do to prevent parasites or something you do when you realize you have a problem. I've already added, what some people are calling, "stress coat" to the water. Is there anything else I should be doing to promote good health? Tracy ANSWER: Tracy, Sometimes folks will use that product or ones similar to it as a preventative. Not so much for continuos use. More as part of their quarantine regime they go through when they add new fish to a system. It is my suggestion not to bother unless the fish have come from a questionable source and are not "clean". Thanks and I hope that this was helpful. Scott Bates
