Question:
My pond is 475 gal and I would like to enlarge it. What is the best time of year in Michigan and the least stressful way. My fish were very prolific this year and the 1 year old ones have tripled in size since pond conception last summer. The pond is a liner pond. Thank you for any advice you can give me.

You can expand that pond up until first hard freeze. You can avoid the stress on the fish by putting their holding tank in the shade while you are doing the construction on your new pond. Be certain you have a cover for it so the fish can't jump out. Also keep an aerator running in the pond to keep your oxygen levels up.
