Question: I am in the process of planning a pond and have some questions about designing the waterfall - I am not sure what would be the best way to construct it. I am planning on moving the dirt from the hole to a hill for the waterfall and also to house the biofilter. I am planning on using a liner and am calculating for enough to accomodate this waterfall. I am going to be using large rock to outline the pond and also for the waterfall - do I need to cement in this rock or can it just be stacked?

Answer: Peggy,

I would use concrete to chink the stones (pushed in between after you stack them). This will help stabilize the waterfall and keep the water above the rock so you can see it running,

I hope that this helps.
