Question:
We live on a lake and plan on having a waterfall and pond. We will draw water from the lake and recycle it back to the lake. Therefore we will not be having a filter.

However, the Lake Association sprays the lake to kill the lake weeds. If we turn off the falls (and lake draw) will our plants then be safe in the pond? Is there anything special we should be doing?

Answer:
Martha,

I would not recirculate the lake water for a couple reasons.

1. You will have a difficult time controling your water clarity because the water quality of the lake varies so much.

2. You will not know when the "weed killer" is gone. So you could accendentally kill your pond plants.

I hope that this was helpful
